Jack In The Box – Kiosk Ordering

Jack in the Box is an American fast-food restaurant founded in 1951 by Robert O. Peterson in San Diego, California, where it is still headquartered today. In total, the chain has 2,200 locations, primarily serving the West Coast of the United States. Food items include a variety of hamburger and cheeseburger sandwiches along with selections of international themed foods such as tacos and eggrolls.

Solutions

Jack In The Box was modeled after Burger King France, which was the first client to be put on the new Tillster.  Jack In The Box was designed for 16:9 screen giving more space to design. I was to come up with all new UI/UX designs, ordering and check out solutions and solve several issues our legacy kiosk’s had. I worked with the client directly  to ensure top notch quality product in a very short period of two months that really matched Jack’s fun brand.

the kiosk was adapted by ordering applications I previously designed, such as our mobile application and our web based ordering website. Any UI designer was set-up to able to take all the solutions I came up with from the main ordering menu to the combo builder for several of the YUM Brand clients. Building an ordering application is limited by the POS and Menu builder, because of those limitations solutions can be very challenging. Jack In The Box customers are very loyal, by leveraging previous kiosk ordering solutions that were adapted by all other platforms, customers can easily order from one device to the next without having a learn a new product or be thrown off by an unfamiliar user interface for web, mobile to kiosk.

Tillster

Tillster is an innovator in the kiosk ordering arena and continues to develop new applications that are being used around the world. Flexible ordering solutions, credit card only or full cash handling. Optimizing speed, service and increased gross margin.  Multilingual kiosk for both English and English speaking customers serves to make the kiosk software ideal globally, speeding transactions, offering lift and improving guest satisfaction
